Guessing Game Answer

Just to let everyone know that the picture was of Hannah. Good guessing everyone.

Christmas

This one is heavy, how does Santa do it?

And if we just peek in here...

I heard that it is better to eat the paper first

For Christmas this year we packed up ourselves and the kids and loaded up a few presents and headed over to Lovell to spend it with the Hendershot side of the family. We all had a great time. The drive over wasnt as fun. Bryan decided that it would be best that we left Monday night instead of Tuesday morning so that we could beat the storm, but actually we ended up right in it that night. So a 3 1/2 to 4 hour trip turned into 5. One goodt hings was that the kids finally fell asleep after we got off of the mountain and slept the rest of the way. We pretty much just hung around the house except on Christmas Eve we went over to Powell and helped Sariah celebrate her 7th birthday at McDonalds that morning. Hannah had a great time climbing on the equipment. I was surprised that she sat down and ate some breakfast. For Chirstmas we had gotten the kids a Tree House Climber and since we did not want to haul it over to Lovell Bryan put it together Sunday and Hannah woke up to it Monday morning and played on it all that day. And had to drag everyone who came over down to watch her play on it. I hope that everyone else had a wonderful Christmas and that you this New Year brings you much happiness!

Guessing Game

Hayden

Hannah

Bryan was looking through some pictures and found a picture that confused him he was not sure which of his children it was. I thought it would be fun to see how many people know the Hendershot Clan children.

Who am I?

Santa and Winter Weather

This last weekend was our ward Christmas party and of course they had a special visitor, Santa. Hayden of course did fine he sat on Santa's lap no problem, but when we went to put Hannah and Kaitlyn on his lap Hannah started freaking out which of course made Kaitlyn start to freak out so needless to say we were unable to get a picture. This is of Grandma carrying them away with there gift boxes.
There are days that I love living in Wyoming and then there are days that I wake up and question why I am still here. Especially since I hate the cold. Saturday afternoon temperatures dropped and since then we have been below 0, yesterdays high...-9. I am looking forward to Wednesday when we are supposed to be back up in the 20's.

Choices

I have had time to ponder on one of the wonderful gifts our Heavenly Father gave us and that is our agency and our ability to choose for ourselves. I recently caved in to the craze of Twilight, I went and watched the movie and then read the book. In the book there is a character that can see future events and as long as the people keep making choices that take them to the future event it happens, but if a different choice is made then it changes the future all together. I think that relates to life. We were sent down here to prove ourselves and return to Heavenly Father. I am sure that before we came down we had a plan outlined with all the right choices that we were going to make. But as we became old enough to decide for ourselves we realized that it wasnt as easy to always make the right choice and sometimes ended up off course and on a different path. We then had to make a series of good choices to get back on course. It seems that it is a neverending cycle b/c there will always be a time that we make choices that are not always right and take us off course for a little bit until we are able to find the right path again. I am very thankful for all the good choices I have made and for the blessings that I have recieved from them.

Halloween

Ladybug, The Three Little Pigs & the Big Bad Wolf, and Tinkerbell
The Two Trouble Makers

Our Handsome Bee

The Cutest Ladybug

Feeling the Love

I know that it has been awhile since I last got on here but I just had to post some of the pictures from Halloween. Things have been a bit busy. Last weekend Bryan was in Casper all week attending classes for his job. The kids and I went up on Monday and stayed there until Wednesday. We hung out with my Grandma Sessions or as Hannah calls her "G-G" for the majority of the time. I can also officially say that Hannah is off of those stupid sippy cups and either drinks out of a straw cup or out of a regular cup. The old sippy cups got thrown away. She has also been going to bed without milk for about 3 weeks now. YEAH!!! So next stop is potty training. Which I think might go somewhat well. I dont want to jinks it though.

Pumpkin Carving

The Pumpkin on the far left is mine
The little munchkins
If you wondering:
no Hayden is not sitting by himself my mom is in the back holding him up

The one thing I look forward to about Halloween the most is carving pumpkins. It has kind of become a tradition to go out to my parents house and carve pumpkins. So this last Sunday we went over had some homeade pizza and started the fun. Hannah and Kaitlyn really enjoyed the pumpkins Im sure that if we would have gave them a knife to carve them they would have gone right at it.

Happy Anniversary (clarification)

I wanted to put a clarification in about our 3rd Year Anniversary. He did not choose to work he was on call this last week and we knew if we planned to do something that he would get called out. And sure enough it happened. We are, however, going to be making it up this week since he is no longer on call. I was able to take a moment that day to think about what a wonderful husband I have, and how I love him even more.

New Hair Cut

Bryan for awhile has contemplated shaving his head and yesterday he finally did it. I would have to say that he looks pretty darn good. And for those of you wondering yes, his head is really that white.

A bit of Catch Up

Today is the first day that we woke up and found (most of) the ground covered in white. So now that we have the first snow over with, I am looking forward to the end of winter. One thing that we miss about selling our car is the remote starter. It was so nice to be able to push a button and have the car warmed up before we even got out there. We didnt have to worry about getting all bundled up to run outside and start the car just to run back in get all unbundled and then get the kids ready to leave, just to have the car warmed up. Hopefully, maybe, one of these days we will find the money to get one put on the van.
So far taking Hannah's milk away for nap time has gone great. The first couple of days she would lay down and ask for it but then yesterday she didnt even ask for it. I am thinking that tonight may be the night that we start taking her milk away. I just hope that I have the strength if she starts to throw a fit to just ignore her. Good Luck to me! I am looking forward to having to stop worrying about having to wash the sheets every morning b/c milk has leaked all over. And once we have this down potty training here we come.
Before we had Hayden I was worried how Hannah would handle no longer being the only child. And at first she had her moments of throwing her tantrums and just being a bit whinny, but now she has become a great big sister. She is always wanting Hayden to join in with some of the things that she is doing, and when she wakes up he is the first things she asks about. Hannah has also discovered that she can make Hayden laugh at some of the things that she does like jumping on the bed and running around that room, I know my kids are easily entertained. Once she discovers that he is laughing at her she will keep doing it and he will laugh hysterically. Its one of the cutest things ever. I know that this will probably not last and a day will come when there will be hitting and name calling and someone will end up crying. But I am enjoying the now.
And on that note...Happy Friday.

Operation NO MILK

So I have finally started doing something that I knew I need to do along time ago. I have started to take Hannah's milk away during nap time and once we have that down I will take it away at night. I am calling this operation NO MILK. I started yesterday and things went perfectly she fell asleep instantly with Bryan on the couch. Then today it went good as well. She asked for her milk and I just ignored her and left the room. B/c I knew if I told her "no" that it would just anger her and I would end up giving in to calm her down. Anyway we only had to tell her to close her eyes and go to sleep a couple of times and she finally did. It is cute when you tell her to close her eyes she shuts them really tight and then will peek out of them. I know that nap time is going to go fairly easy it will be bed time that will hold the challenge.

A moment of FRUSTRATION

Can anyone explain to me how I can get my almost 5 month old to sleep through the night and my 2 year old wakes at least 2-3 times a night (on a good night).
I have also come hate the sippy cups with the silcone nipple. They were good at first when Hannah was younger and didnt have as many teeth but now that she is older she bites right through it and then it leaks all over. I think I have had to go out and buy more of those stupid cups in the last month than diapers (and we have had to buy alot of diapers with 2 kids not potty trained). Plus trying to switch her to the harder sippy cups has not been a treat. I knew when we were able to get her off the bottle and took away her binky it was to easy, now I am learning how hard it should have been. Hopefully soon we can get her off soon. I can say I have learned what not to do with Hayden he will be getting the harder sippy cups when the time comes.

Our House

We are finally moved in, now if only we were finally unpacked, but that will come with time. Hopefully sooner than later. Even with the stress of having to move and to pack up everything and all the things that went wrong it was all worth it and I can relish the thought that it is all over again and we won't be doing it for at least another couple of years. Here are a few pictures of the place and of Bryan's hard work that paid off.

Kitchen
Our Bedroom (I love the red wall it is my fav)
Kids Room & Hannah Napping (my other fav)
Tiny Bathroom
Hand Rail

Wonderful

I was looking back through my pictures and I found this one of Hannah and my sister Carissa. This is from when Hannah and I went down to Salt Lake with my parents to see my Great Grandpa Tyler. While there we went to temple square and looked around and one of the places we went into was the visitor center and in there I was able to snap this great picture. I try to think of something more to say about this picture but I can't come up with any words that would describe it perfectly. To me it speaks for itself.

Finally

I figured I would post one last time before we move since it might be awhile till I do it again. The day has finally arrived we will be moving into our new home this weekend. I have most of the trailer packed and am putting off the rest of it until I get the motivation and maybe a few more boxes. Hannah has become my little helper. She will grab a washcloth or the swiffer and say, "I cleaning." Or she has even helped me pack some of the boxes by throwing stff in. It is very cute. She has also become quite the little mother. For her birthday she recieved a baby alive doll that came with diapers and her own bottle, she will carry it around the house taking the diaper off and trying to put it back on and then feeding it. I also had some fabric that I cut up and made into a small blanket so that the baby could have it and she will wrap it up. Hayden is doing well he really is the happiest baby I have seen. He is very ticklish all over and will laugh at anything. He is also growing so big, I have already had to get out the 3-6 months clothes. I have found that he likes to snuggle up to soft blankets. Hannah one day through one of her blankets on him and he just grabbed it and held on. Until next time...

House Update

Just an update our house is almost done. Bryan has a few things here and there to finish and that is supposed to be done by next week. So either this next weekend or the begin of the week after we will be moving. Im very excited. I am however not looking forward to moving having to pack and unpack everything. Its one of my least favorite things to do. The house looks amazing I am so glad that Bryan is so handy. He has done an amazing job and he has pretty much done it by himself with some help here and there from others. I am very thankful for him and look forward to seeing more of him. The kids and I have missed him since he has put in a lot of hours to finish the house. Once it is done I will post some pictures.

Happy Birthday Hannah

On Monday Hannah turned 2. At the last minute we put together a small party and we invited family to help celebrate it with us. With the house being closer to being finished and getting ready to move it has been hectic. Hannah had a good time. She enjoyed blowing out the candles on her bear cake, but didn't have any till the next day because she was having to much fun playing with the little stroller and babydoll she got for her birthday.

Birthday Girl

Her stoller and babydoll. She has not gotten bored with it yet and it is the first thing she has been asking about in the mornings when she wakes up.

Yeah Birthday Cake!

Opening presents I was surpised we could pry her away from the stroller. She had lots of help from Axel and Tristen.Bryan was complaining that I did not have any pictures of him on the blog so here is the love of my life, the father of my children.

A little Something...

Hannah really likes to play the piano. She will hop up onto the bench when Bryan sits down to play. On one morning the week after she got out of bed she wanted to play. Lately she has also started to glare at me, as you can see in the picture.

Hayden getting big. He is starting to fill out and not look like a newborn anymore. He is starting to grab at stuff now, but I am not quite she that he realizes it. But I thought I would see what he would do with a toy.

Dancing the Day Away

On Saturday we took the kids and went to the college and listened to the Big Horn Big Band perform at the Donkey Creek Jazz festival. They had it outside and it was an ok day. It wasn't very hot, but every now and then we would get a slight breezy or the sun would go under a cloud and it would get a bit cold, but we had a good time. Hannah had a good time. She is our little dancer and loves music so once they started playing she started to dance all over the place It was so cute and of course I didn't bring the camera to capture the moment. I never think that I am going to need it so from now on I am just going to bring it everywhere with me. Hayden, however, slept through the whole thing. I did get pictures of when we got home.

Learning & Growing

It amazes how much Hannah is growing and learning. I was just thinking today how in less than a week she is going to be 2. Its crazy to think that just 2 years ago I was sitting in a hospital bed having her handed to me for the first time. She will ask me a dozen times and more a day "what you doin mom," "where they go," and also will go through a list of the people that she knows and will ask where each of them are. It is very cute. She will also say "lets go" and then when I ask her where "mamas" (grandmas). She is a little fireball and I wonder where I get the energy to keep up with her. Then there are the moments when she will sit on the couch looking at one of her books are watching her favorite movie of the week and then she will look at me and pat the couch next to her and say "mere" wanting me to come sit by her. She is my sweetheart and I am so blessed to have her in my life.
